With just weeks to go before the 14th edition of the Women's Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON 2026) kicks off, excitement around the competition continues to soar.

After the men's AFCON, which wrapped up on January 18 with Senegal's triumph, Morocco is set to host the new edition of the Women's AFCON from March 17 to April 3, 2026.

The tournament winner will claim the grand prize of one million dollars, while the runner-up will take home half that amount, pocketing 500,000 dollars.

Meanwhile, the third-place finisher will be rewarded with 350,000 dollars—50,000 more than the fourth-placed team.
