Mission accomplished for Inter Women, who beat Como 1907 2–1 in the Women’s Coppa Italia Round of 16 to round off 2025 in the best possible way. At the SNEF Lambrone Sports Centre in Erba, Piovani’s side delivered a solid, determined performance to book their place in the quarter-finals, where they will face Ternana over two legs. Goals from Bugeja in the first half and Tomasevic after the break proved decisive.

Inter started at a high tempo and immediately took control. In the 5th minute Bugeja tried her luck with a first-time effort, but a Como defender managed to deflect it out. The Nerazzurre kept pressing and came close in the 18th minute: Milinkovic released Schough in behind and her cross found Bugeja, whose first-time effort shaved the post. The hosts threatened in the 24th minute through Del Estal, who found space centrally but fired wide in front of Runarsdottir. Inter made the breakthrough after 28 minutes: Polli nodded the ball into the path of Bugeja, who made no mistake from close range to make it 1–0. The Maltese forward nearly doubled the lead four minutes later, narrowly denied by a fine save. Inter went into the break with a deserved advantage.

Como 1907 returned with greater intensity and drew level 8 minutes after the break: Boquete teed up Conc, who curled a precise effort from the edge of the box to make it 1–1. Inter responded with character. Robustellini tried her luck from distance in the 64th minute, while at the other end Runarsdottir denied Del Estal. The decisive goal arrived after 73 minutes: Bugeja delivered a perfectly weighted cross from the edge of the area, and Tomasevic arrived on time at the far post to tap home. Inter managed the closing stages with authority, conceding very little. Colombo’s late effort was comfortably dealt with by Runarsdottir, and after three minutes of added time the final whistle confirmed a deserved win. Inter Women move on to the Coppa Italia quarter-finals, where Ternana await.
