Our Women’s Under-21s suffered a 6-2 defeat at Bristol City on Sunday afternoon in the Professional Game Academy League.

Midfielder Fran Hamer put us ahead midway through the first half after a strong start from Nick Hardy’s side, but three goals in the final 10 minutes of the second half saw the hosts go into the break with a two-goal advantage.

The Robins, who were sat fifth in the table ahead of the encounter, further extended their advatange after the restart to give them a comfortable cushion at home. Forward Persis Oteng cut the deficit with her ninth goal of the campaign, but the hosts netted a further two goals to secure the victory in the Professional Game Academy League.

The result means will spend phase two of the competition in Division Two alongside three other sides from the Southern Division and four from the Northern Division.
