No matter the outcome of their match against Guinea this Monday (0-0 at halftime), Algeria won't be able to clinch their ticket to the 2026 World Cup as early as matchday 8 of the qualifiers. That's already a minor disappointment for the Fennecs. Even if they defeat the Syli National and strengthen their position at the top of Group G, they'll still have to wait until the final two matchdays in October to officially book their spot in the tournament's main draw.
