World Cup 2026: Ghana plans four friendlies ahead of kickoff
The World Cup is fast approaching, and the qualified teams are ramping up their preparations. Ghana, for its part, will put its abilities to the test against four nations before the tournament kicks off.
This information was confirmed by the president of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kurt Okraku. The Black Stars will play four friendly matches as part of their build-up to the 2026 World Cup.
Two opponents have already been announced: Austria and Germany. Both fixtures are scheduled for the FIFA international window in March.
The first match will be against Austria on March 27, followed by a clash with Germany three days later, on March 30. The identities of the other two opponents have not yet been revealed.
With this intense and rigorous preparation, the Black Stars' coaching staff aims to build a strong and cohesive squad capable of making a real impact at the World Cup. As a reminder, Ghana is in Group L alongside England, Croatia, and Panama.
