World Cup 2026: hundreds of Norway fans stage Viking row at Times Square

Norway supporters brought their Viking row to Times Square ahead of their World Cup meeting with Senegal in New York.

According to L'Équipe, several hundred fans assembled before their second group game, which kicks off at two am on Tuesday.

Led by drum beats, the crowd performed the routine in which they mimic rowers on Viking longships.

The striking choreography, even adopted by Norwegian MPs, should be on show inside the MetLife Stadium (East Rutherford) against Senegal.

Norway opened with a 4-1 win over Iraq. They can qualify tonight if they beat Senegal, who lost 3-1 to France in their first match.
