The Belgians conceded the opening goal as early as the 9th minute, with Dastan Satpaev finding the net, but Hans Vanaken responded early in the second half to level the score. Kazakhstan’s 22-year-old goalkeeper Temirlan Anarbekov was outstanding, producing several crucial saves in just his second full international appearance.

With this result, Belgium remain top of Group J with 15 points. The Red Devils will need a solid result at home against Liechtenstein on Tuesday to punch their ticket to the finals in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
