World Cup play-offs and Olympic push test OL Lyonnes internationals | OneFootball

An international break carries real stakes for several OL Lyonnes players, with World Cup places and Olympic qualification on the line. According to Le Progres, six members of the squad face decisive fixtures.

Ingrid Engen and Ada Hegerberg with Norway, Damaris Egurrola with the Netherlands, Elma Junttila-Nelhage with Sweden and Caroline Weir with Scotland are involved in World Cup qualifying.

Unlike France, those four nations have not yet secured a place at the 2027 tournament and must go through play-offs to hope to travel to Brazil next summer.

They are scheduled to play on nine and 13 October.

Temwa Chawinga will chase a berth at the Los Angeles Olympics with Malawi.

Joseph, back from a serious injury, can keep building minutes with France U23.
