Ismael Saibari’s move to FC Bayern appears to be imminent. The Moroccan national team player is said to have already taken the decisive final step.
FC Bayern appears to be getting closer and closer to signing Ismael Saibari. After reports that the Munich club had already reached a transfer agreement with PSV Eindhoven, there are now further positive signs in the race to sign the Moroccan national team player.
According to the AFP news agency, Saibari has already completed his medical exam for FC Bayern. The exam reportedly took place on Tuesday local time at the Moroccan national team’s training camp in Basking Ridge, New Jersey.
Particularly noteworthy: The 25-year-old was initially absent from his national team’s training session. According to AFP, Saibari used the time for the medical examination conducted by Bayern’s team doctor, Dr. Jochen Hahne.
The doctor is currently also in the U.S., where he is treating the German national team at the World Cup. This allowed Bayern to organize the medical exam right on site without Saibari having to leave the World Cup headquarters.
If the reports are confirmed, this would mean that one of the final hurdles before the transfer has already been cleared.
According to consistent media reports, Bayern and PSV Eindhoven have already agreed on a transfer fee. According to BILD, the total package, including bonus payments, amounts to just under 55 million euros.
An agreement with the player has also long been reached. Saibari is expected to sign a long-term contract in Munich running through the summer of 2031.
Vincent Kompany is considered a strong advocate for the transfer. The Bayern coach is said to have made intensive efforts to sign the attacking player in recent months and to have held several personal conversations with him. Internally, Saibari is viewed as the ideal reinforcement for the record champion’s flexible attacking style.

Most recently, the Moroccan also made a name for himself on the field. In the World Cup opener against Brazil,he scored the opening goal for his country and was one of the strongest players on the field.
With his versatility, dynamism, and technical skill, Saibari is expected to play an important role in the Munich squad going forward.
Everything now points to the official announcement being merely a formality. Barring any unexpected complications, FC Bayern is expected to confirm its first major summer transfer very soon.
