Aaronson appeared to suffer a left knee issue during Leeds United’s 1-0 win against Brighton & Hove Albion.

The 25-year-old dropped to the ground holding his knee before receiving medical treatment.

He walked off the field gingerly to be replaced by Lukas Nmecha in the 59th minute of the game.

Palace centre-back Richards twisted his ankle after colliding with Brentford striker Igor Thiago in Sunday’s away encounter.

The 26-year-old was able to continue the game that finished 2-2 at the Gtech Community Stadium. But he struggled to walk off the ground by himself after full time.

However, the injuries to Aaronson and Richards are not thought to be too serious, and they are expected to recover soon.

Manager Mauricio Pochettino will announce his 26-man squad for the World Cup on Tuesday, May 26.

Pochettino’s side will play friendlies with Senegal and Germany before their World Cup opener against Paraguay on June 12.

They also face Australia and Turkey in the group stage.
