Burger arrived from Stoke City in summer 2025 and quickly became a mainstay in his first season.

He ended the campaign with 32 appearances in all competitions, five goals and nine assists.

Sporting director Andreas Schicker said the extension underlines continuity and reflects Hoffenheim’s growing pull with ambitious players. He hailed Burger as a central figure in last season’s success, a leader through physicality and game intelligence in defence and attack.

Schicker added that Burger has matured on and off the pitch, his development remains ongoing, and the club are pleased he chose the TSG path despite other offers.
