Wrexham are eyeing each of Callum O'Hare, Scott Twine, Anis Mehmeti, Adrian Segecic, and Romain Esse before the transfer deadline

Wrexham are looking for a blockbuster end to the summer window, with Phil Parkinson drawing up a five-man shortlist of potential attacking additions the Welsh outfit could make before the September 1st deadline.

Things have rarely been quiet in Wrexham across the past few years, and with just over a day remaining until the summer transfer deadline, that doesn't look to be changing anytime soon.

According to Alan Nixon's Patreon, the North Wales outfit have a shortlist of five players they are targeting moves for over the next 24 hours or so, with some interesting names on there.

As per Nixon, both Portsmouth's Adrian Segecic and Bristol City's Scott Twine are being considered by Wrexham.

Segecic, 22, grabbed 16 direct goal contributions in 38 Championship games last season for Pompey in what was his first year in the Championship following his move from Sydney FC for a mere £200k.

The Croatian has also reportedly caught the eye of Championship rivals Birmingham City, according to The News Portsmouth, but as things stand, the attacking-midfielder is set to stay put at Fratton Park beyond the deadline, though Wrexham could have a say in that.

Scott Twine was left out of the starting XI by Michael Skubala for Bristol City's first two games of the season in the League Cup against Walsall and in the league against Millwall, sparking rumours of a potential exit.

However, the Englishman has since started both of the following games, as Skubala has since claimed the 27-year-old is 'a big part' of plans at Ashton Gate.

Though Wrexham has the money to tempt the Robins into a sale, with the former MK Dons and Burnley star on their shortlist as a potential option heading into the final hours of the window.

Crystal Palace winger Romain Esse has his future well and truly up in the air, as with just a day or so until the transfer deadline, the England youth international has no obvious playing role for the upcoming campaign.

Signed by the Eagles in January 2025 from Millwall for a potential £14.5 million, Esse has failed to nail down a place at Selhurst Park and spent the second half of last season on loan at Coventry City, scoring twice and assisting once in 17 league appearances for the Sky Blues on their way to the Premier League.

A move to Belgian outfit Club Brugge was on the cards this summer, but that deal has since fallen through, leaving the 21-year-old out in the cold and without an obvious role in Pierre Sage's Palace squad for the season.

According to Nixon, Wrexham have eyed up the Millwall academy graduate as a potential option before the deadline, with the Racecourse Ground one of a few options remaining for the winger to find a home for the year.

It was revealed by The Star on Sunday evening of Wrexham's interest in Sheffield United attacking-midfiedler Callum O'Hare, with it since being revealed that the Welsh outfit have bid around £6.5 million for the former Coventry star on the eve of the deadline.

O'Hare, 28, has been an ever-present in the Blades side ever since his arrival from the Sky Blues in the summer of 2024 on a free transfer, and given Sheffield United's financial struggles, losing him at this stage would be an almighty blow for Chris Wilder's side.

Ipswich Town attacking-midfielder Anis Mehmeti is the final name that Nixon has reported Wrexham to be interested in, but a deal for the 25-year-old looks difficult.

Mehmeti has previously attracted interest from Derby County, as per Nixon, whilst Birmingham City have also attempted to lure the former Bristol City star to St Andrews, though it would appear as though he is keen on staying put to fight for his place at Portman Road.

The Albanian has a plethora of competition ahead of him under Gary O'Neil, and has not featured in either of the club's matchday squads so far as a result.

Each one of these options would be expected to fill one of the attacking-midfield roles behind the main centre-forward in Parkinson's preferred 3-4-2-1 shape, as the former Bradford City boss looks for a big end to the window.
