Wrexham are reportedly interested in signing Colombian midfielder Juan Camilo Portilla from Argentinian side Talleres.
The Welsh team is preparing an offer of £4 million for the 26-year-old who has been nicknamed 'the matador' by fans.
Portilla played 21 matches in 2025, standing out in the Argentine League Cup. He made his debut for Colombia in September 2024 in a 2-1 win over Argentina when he replaced James Rodríguez in stoppage time.
Wrexham, owned by Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds, are looking to strengthen their midfield after being promoted to League One.
