We’ve just been reporting on Estevao’s latest goal for Brazil, another sure sign that his star is going to continue a rapid rise.
He was last seen on the pitch winning a huge game for Chelsea against Liverpool, a moment which really seemed to announce him to the wider Premier League watching public.

Matt Law has been speaking on the London is Blue podcast, where he pointed out that all of this coming at once was going to be a lot to deal with for the youngster:
“The pressure is going to ratchet up quite quickly in terms of the expectation around him for the wider world. So Chelsea have got to try and protect him from that. I saw pictures of him the next day, supposedly at church, which is a good sign.
Chelsea and Enzo Maresca have already been pretty cautious in dealing with him, introducing him to the first team picture slowly and limiting his minutes. The rest of this season will likely be a continuation of that – but eventually the hype may become so enormous that it’s impossible to not start him more.
But instead of just worrying about the negatives, we can also think about the positives:
“I can’t remember the fee they paid for him, but I remember going home on Saturday night and checking, double checking it on my phone and thinking ‘my God that turn out to be an absolute steal for this kid,” Law continued.
“This kid looks like another potential £100m player down the line, and if injury and everything else goes his way, so yeah, very exciting.”
