WSL: Tottenham summer rebuild continues with Araya Dennis and Anna Csiki departures | OneFootball

Tottenham Hotspur have wasted no time this transfer window, reshaping their squad for the upcoming season. They’ve had a busy summer of arrivals. which signals their future ambitions.

They broke their club-record signing to bring in French defender Alice Sombath. Other signings include Shekiera Martinez, Kirsty Hanson, Caitlin Dijkstra, Victoria Pelova and goalkeeper Selma Panengstuen.

Strengthening the squad also means departures and loan spells.

Araya Dennis joins Leicester City on loan

Araya Dennis signed her first professional club with Tottenham in February 2024, and has since had loan spells at Crystal Palace and Southampton.

The 20-year-old will now join WSL2 side Leicester City on loan for the duration of the 2026/27 season, where the Foxes will be hoping to do what they can to return to the top flight the following year.

Saying goodbye to Anna Csiki

After two years with Tottenham, Anna Csiki now joins Benfica on a permanent transfer. The Hungary international made 13 appearances in her first full season in the WSL, and also bagged two assists.

She headed to West Ham on loan for the first half of last season, before spending the remainder of the campaign at AS Roma.

 With manager Martin Ho looking to transform the squad, balancing experience, young talent and their growing ambitions, change is inevitable.
