Xabi Alonso on Friday played down talk linking Diogo Costa with Chelsea, adding he is content with his current goalkeepers.

The Athletic reports the goalkeeping hierarchy is set, with Robert Sánchez, Mike Penders, Gaga Slonina and Teddy Sharman-Lowe available. Penders returns from Strasbourg, where Filip Jorgensen is expected to head.

Porto have received no offers for the No 99, who has a 60 million euro release clause. Many clubs with the resources have already moved, including Chelsea, Newcastle, PSG and Manchester City.

Chelsea are not in European competition this season, something that does not attract Diogo Costa.

Newcastle spent more than 30 million euros on Hornicek and stepped away. PSG are negotiating Zion Suzuki from Parma, and Manchester City have moved for Geronimo Rulli from Marseille.

That leaves few clubs able to approach the captain’s clause, and he is not tempted by the Saudi league.
