After Real Madrid's draw against Rayo Vallecano at Vallecas, Xabi Alonso delivered a detailed analysis of his team's performance and the current state of the club.

Asked about a potential crisis after two poor results in a row, the coach was clear:

We are... but it's too early to talk about a crisis. The season is long, and two bad games can't erase all the work we've done. We need to keep improving and evaluate ourselves at the end of the season.

Alonso explained the difficulty of the match:

We were prepared for a demanding match. It's always tough to play here and take the lead. In the second half, the game was very fast, with lots of transitions. We couldn't create more chances, but our defense was solid. We didn't lack intensity in the duels." He added: "After Anfield, we wanted to play better. La Liga is decided game by game, and we didn't win today, but we know where we want to go.

On the players, Alonso specified:

Fede Valverde was ready for the match. Trent Alexander-Arnold needs time to get ready after his injury. As for our forwards, we went with other options that day. We need to keep improving, make constructive self-criticism, and stay focused despite the ups and downs.
