“I would like a national team, yes. I say it openly.” he told RNE Deportes on Saturday.

“I have no preference on the destination. I am motivated to take part in a World Cup, a EURO, an AFCON, or even an Asian Cup.”

“What I would like is a good project, a project where we can work in calm.” “Club life does not allow me to be with my family much.”

The 2010 World Cup winner is 46 and spent three seasons in charge of Barcelona before departing in 2024. His next step may be away from Spain, who face Argentina in the World Cup final on Sunday at 21:00 under Luis de la Fuente.
