Xavier Junior Mandza to sign for Nice despite late Juventus bid

Xavier Junior Mandza will sign his first professional contract with Nice on Monday, despite a late attempt from Juventus to recruit the 17-year-old midfielder.

According to L'Équipe, Juventus contacted Nice over the weekend with a 3 million euro offer, which the club turned down.

Mandza has been monitored for months by several clubs in France and across Europe. He had one year left on an apprentice deal.

Nice are counting on him, with a place to be made in Olivier Pantaloni's group.

The France under-17 international’s agreement is set to run until June 2029.
