Xherdan Shaqiri has officially left Chicago Fire after two years’ with the Major League Soccer club.
Shaqiri joined the Fire in 2022 and has since gone on to make 69 appearances in MLS.
But after two-and-a-half campaigns the 32-year-old has opted to leave Soldier Field by mutual consent.
“After discussions with Xherdan, we have mutually agreed that parting ways is in the best interest of all parties,” said Chicago Fire FC Sporting Director Georg Heitz.
“We thank him for his contributions to the Club and wish him success in the next chapter of his career.”
