FC Barcelona continue their perfect start to the La Liga season with another crucial victory in the league. Despite Valencia being at home, La Blaugrana simply focused on themselves and delivered one of their best performances yet under Hansi Flick’s guidance.

A 5-0 thrashing at the Mestalla saw Lamine Yamal grab a brace, while Raphinha, Fermin Lopez, and Pedri each scored once as well. With this victory, Barcelona now sit three points clear at the top of the league table.

Made some big saves in this game and came off his line expertly well whenever Barcelona needed him to. Top performance from the Spanish goalkeeper throughout the game.

Despite a promising early start to the game, the Spaniard had to come off early due to an unfortunate collision with Rodri.

Pau Cubarsi: 8.0/10

Sublime in terms of his distribution and strong in his duels, Pau Cubarsi delivered a great performance yet again. With him at the back, Barcelona always play with a lot more confidence and composure.

Gerard Martin: 7.5/10

Not at his very best today, Gerard Martin seemed a bit unfocused at times and it resulted in some haphazard clearances. However, his general play was still solid and he was reliable enough at the back.

Xavi Espart: 8.0/10

Delivered yet another classy display with consistent moments of magic sprinkled throughout. His defensive awareness seems to be getting better day by day, and his risky passing almost always seems to open up options for Barcelona.

Rodri: 8.5/10

Made some big defensive interventions and his consistent recoveries always enabled Barcelona to create dangerous turnovers. With him on the pitch, Hansi Flick’s team always looked in control and ready to strike at any moment.

Pedri: 9.0/10

Phenomenal all game, Pedri was running the show for Barcelona and orchestrated several good plays. He eventually found the back of the net himself as well with a wonderfully constructed play and finish.

Lamine Yamal: 10/10

Clearly back to his best, Lamine Yamal was running the show against Valencia in this game. From his absurd first goal to his great finish near the end of the game, the Spaniard was a constant threat to Valencia and could have had a hattrick as well had it not been for a suspicious offside decision.

Fermin Lopez: 9.5/10

Consistently thwarted the opposition defense and his stubbornness in that regard clearly paid off. Provided two assists, one of which was a sublime pass to Lamine Yamal, and found the back of the net with a top finish as well.

Anthony Gordon: 8.0/10

Looked a bit more tired than usual as the game went on, but Anthony Gordon was once again quite effective in putting on the pressure on his opponents. He also managed to grab the assist for Fermin’s goal.

Raphinha: 8.5/10

The Brazilian forward was not as involved or perfect with his execution as he normally is, but he was crucial to this victory thanks to his intensity. Ultimately, he managed to grab a goal as well thanks to a great sequence of play.

Jules Kounde: 7.5/10

Came into the game quite early on and did well to adapt to the tempo. His distribution was almost flawless, his defensive interventions were solid, and his general play was good as well.

Andreas Christensen: 7.0/10

Held his own well at the back after coming on to replace Cubarsi, but he was rarely tested by the opposition near the end.

Marc Bernal: 7.5/10

Very smooth on the ball and his distribution was almost perfect as well. The Spaniard had a great game after coming off the bench.

Karim Adeyemi: 6.5/10

His explosive speed and relentlessness caused issues for Valencia once he came on.

Dani Olmo: 8.5/10

Looked like a man possessed in this game, Dani Olmo was almost unstoppable at times. His assist to Yamal in particular was a genuine work of art, and his other assist to Pedri was classy as well.
