Here are the player ratings for the Barça players.

Starting XI:

Joan Garcia: 7.5/10

Could not do much about the first goal he conceded, but he was alert throughout the game. Made some big saves as well, even when the opposition was offside for the opportunities in question.

Jules Kounde: 6.5/10

The Frenchman’s distribution was reliable enough, but he seemed too lethargic at times. However, in terms of making overlapping runs to help out Lamine Yamal, he was always there to offer himself, and it helped open up some extra space.

Pau Cubarsi: 7.5/10

The youngster should have done better for the goal that Barcelona conceded, but he definitely grew into the game. Came close to scoring as well with a good effort that was saved by the opposition goalkeeper.

Gerard Martin: 7.0/10

Despite some wayward passes at the very start of the game, Gerard Martin definitely grew into the match. Started winning his duels and improved his passes too, a solid performance overall.

Alejandro Balde: 7.5/10

After struggling to be impactful for much of the first half, Alejandro Balde began to make his mark during the second half. His explosiveness was much more visible, and it was clearly making a difference for the team.

Eric Garcia: 6.5/10

Did well enough to win his duels during the first half, and came close to scoring as well. However, he was replaced in the second half with Hansi Flick, looking to add more creativity to the midfield.

Dani Olmo: 8.0/10

Looked a bit tame in the first half, but his performance was significantly better in the second half. Provided a brilliant through ball that allowed Lamine Yamal and Robert Lewandowski to open the scoring for Barcelona.

Lamine Yamal: 9.5/10

What a performance from the youngster, who simply did not stop at anything to get Barcelona this win. Provided a brilliant unselfish assist, scored a goal thanks to a rather fortunate deflection, and provided a scrumptious cross that won Barça a penalty. Even beyond that, his general play was sharp, and his dribbling was mesmerising.

Fermin Lopez: 7.5/10

Arguably not his best performance in a Barça shirt, but a good one nonetheless. He consistently applied pressure during the game, and even provided the assist for Lamine Yamal’s goal.

Raphinha: 8.0/10

Struggled for most of the game, and his decision-making and quality on the ball left a lot to be desired. However, his intensity was consistent, and he also converted his penalty expertly to give Barça their third goal.

Robert Lewandowski: 8.0/10

Scored a relatively simple goal thanks to a brilliant Lamine Yamal assist, and did well to position himself to win a penalty for the team later on as well. Good performance from the veteran.

Changed the complexion of the game with his composure and technical ability. Helped his team perform better while ensuring that they remained in control of proceedings as the game went on.
