Ayaka Yamashita's save against Everton has been nominated for November’s Barclays Women’s Super League Save of the Month award.

As the Toffees threatened an equaliser, a fine diving save saw Yamashita deny Kelly Gago’s headed effort as City were well on our way to recording a seventh consecutive WSL victory.

It was a crucial moment for our last line of defence as our number 31 was vital in helping us to secure the three points that sent us top of the table.

It also earns her a place on the four-player shortlist for the finest save in November as we prepare to head into the final set of games in 2025 .
