Côte d'Ivoire and RB Leipzig starlet Yan Diomande adds another notch on his belt across a summer under the microscope, as the 19-year-old once again proves his worth against Curaçao.

With Les Éléphants gunning for automatic qualification into the Round of 32 as runner-up behind Germany in Group E, an opener from Nicolás Pépé set Emerse Faé's outfit on course to do just that in Philadelphia.

Diomande, who has been on the radar screens of Liverpool, PSG, and other big European clubs in the wake of a sensational 2025/26 Bundesliga campaign in the heart of Saxony, can now add a record-setting achievement to his growing profile.

In turning provider for Pépé's 7th-minute opener, Diomande (19 years, 223 days) is now the youngest player to lodge a direct goal involvement for Côte d'Ivoire at a World Cup.

And with each goal and assist he adds across this summer until the conclusion of the tournament, there's no doubt that the powers that be in Leipzig will add on a little bit extra to his already huge valuation.
