Yanis Cimignani tracked by Schalke 04 and Venezia

Yanis Cimignani could leave Lugano this summer, with Schalke 04 and Venezia making enquiries. According to L'Équipe, the French midfielder is attracting interest after three years in Switzerland.

Both clubs have just been promoted, Schalke 04 to the Bundesliga and Venezia to Serie A.

The 24-year-old wide midfielder has played at least 100 Swiss league matches for Lugano. He has one year remaining on his contract.

Used across several roles this season, he is also being monitored by other European sides who could approach Lugano.

Schalke 04 have regularly targeted players with French experience in recent windows, including Sylla and Lasme. They also signed Adil Aouchiche in winter, a fellow 2002-born France youth international.

Serie B champions Venezia are considered a possible destination for the former AC Ajaccio player.
