Inter defender Yann Bisseck reveals he’s happy to stay at Inter for as long as possible, while explaining the unique sentiments evoked by playing at San Siro.
The 24-year-old completed a transfer from Danish top-flight club Aarhus to the Nerazzurri in July 2023, arriving in Italy as a relative unknown. This move ensued only one month following the Champions League final at Istanbul which saw Inter put up an amiable display, but fell just short at the hands of Manchester City,
Therefore, Bisseck will be keen to experience his first Champions League final this season, and so can you by booking your seats for the grand event. You can find all the info simply by pressing here. This would also be a truly special occasion for the German player given that the match will take place on home soil, that is the Allianz Arena in Munich.
The Nerazzurri certainly have a realistic chance of going far in the competition, especially based on their exploits in the group stage which saw them finish fourth in the 36-team table, and only concede one goal in their eight fixtures.
While the credit must go first and foremost to the collective forged by Simone Inzaghi, Bisseck surely deserves the plaudits, as he’s been making leaps and bounds since his arrival at Appiano Gentile. He certainly isn’t unsung now!
But while the center-back has endeared himself to the Inter faithful, he admits that his future will lie wherever the best opportunity presents itself.
“If at some point in the future, it is my best option to return to Germany, I will return to Germany. If it is Spain, it will be Spain. And if it is to stay here forever, I will stay here forever,” said Bisseck in his interview with Sky Sport Deutschland via FcInterNews.
“I will do what is best for me and where I feel best. But at the moment it is not a problem at all. I have extended my contract very carefully and I am incredibly happy at Inter.”
But despite painting a vague picture of the future, the centre-back explains how much he cherishes playing for the reigning Italian champions.
“I get goosebumps every time I play at San Siro. I’ve never played at a better stadium in my life. There’s nothing better than when the fans chant your name. Our fans are incredible. People cheer not only on match day, but I’m often recognized in the streets. People are very respectful.”
