MLS has imposed lifetime bans on Yaw Yeboah and Derrick Jones, both former Los Angeles FC players, for betting on league matches, including games involving their own teams, the league said.
The activity spanned the 2024 and 2025 seasons. One documented wager saw both players back Jones to be booked on 19 October 2024, and he was.

They also passed confidential information to third parties about planned attempts to draw cautions.
No evidence has been found that these actions affected the outcome of any match.
Yeboah previously played for Real Oviedo, Numancia and Celta de Vigo B.
