Enzo Maresca has just taken his press conference ahead of tomorrow’s game against Everton, and there were of course questions about his star man, Cole Palmer, who has just returned to fitness after a multiple month injury absence.
Palmer missed Tuesday night’s game against Atalanta in the Champions League as his return to full time action is managed, and the journalists in the press conference wanted to check this was nothing more than just a question of easing him in slowly.

Cole Palmer trains in the rain.
“Yeah, he’s okay. He’s better,” the manager said.
“He’s at the moment available. We have one more session this afternoon. Yesterday he finished the session with us with a mixed feeling, but overall he’s okay.
Well that’s about as negative as a positive update can possibly be. From that we assume he will start tomorrow, but it still sounds like he’s some way away from being fully fit or sharp. He looked off his game last weekend, and we probably shouldn’t expect much more this time around.
That’s an issue – we’re desperately short of creativity right now, and Palmer is just who we were hoping would be ready to break down a tough Everton low block. Hopefully he can at least put in a strong 60 minutes for us, with plenty of other options on the bench to try in the second half if things don’t work out.

Chelsea striker Liam Delap will also miss the game, and Enzo Maresca was asked for an update on him both physically and mentally after a tough period for the young player.
Axel Disasi remains a player Chelsea are looking to move on, and according to some rumours that have come out recently AC Milan are keen on him. We’re not so sure it will be that easy.
