Club confirms death after emergency surgery

The deceased player's team later confirmed his death in official statement after he was rushed to nearby hospital.

Reports said the player suffered internal bleeding and stomach perforation caused by the heavy contact.

Doctors carried out urgent and delicate operation in attempt to stop the bleeding but Ali died in intensive care shortly afterward.

The club described the loss as heartbreaking with the young player’s death shocking teammates, staff and the local football community.
