Mike Aidoo joined Inter’s youth academy from Chievo Verona as a teenager in 2021.

Despite faring well at the youth level, the youngster failed to make a senior appearance for the Nerazzurri.

Furthermore, the club loaned him out to Pergolettese in the summer.

Indeed, the talented right-back failed to convince Stefano Vecchi to include him in his U23 squad this season.

Meanwhile, Pergolettese offered him an escape route from San Siro and, more importantly, regular first-team football.

Aidoo has made eight league appearances for Giacomo Curioni this term.

Moreover, he started every game, including a 2-0 loss to none other than Vecchi’s U23 side.

However, Aidoo hopes to return to Inter Milan in the future.

Speaking of his first Serie C impressions, Aidoo said: “Definitely in terms of defense. It’s a very tough, physical league filled with experienced players.

“Attention to detail is crucial because a single mistake can lead to a goal.

“I’m improving my positioning, physicality in duels, and concentration. Every match is an opportunity to grow.”

Then, he explained his decision to leave Inter U23 for Pergolettese.

“I wanted to play, to have space and continuity. At Inter Under-23, I wasn’t sure if I would get the same playing time.

“Here, I immediately felt trusted. The director and coach wanted me, and I accepted with enthusiasm.

“It was an easy choice because I found a serious project and the opportunity to prove my worth.”

Additionally, he values every lesson he has learned at Appiano Gentile.

“A winning mentality and humility. Inter taught me that from day one, and my parents instilled the same values.

“Never give up, work hard, stay humble – these are things I try to apply every day here in Crema.”

Moreover, he dreams of returning to Inter one day.

“My dream is to reach Serie A and win trophies, maybe with Inter or another team.

“I don’t know what the future holds, but I want to work to reach the highest levels of football.”

Finally, he thanked Denzel Dumfries for helping him develop.

“I was fortunate to train with them often,” Aidoo admitted. “They are exemplary professionals, and you learn a lot just by watching them.

“I especially have to thank Denzel Dumfries, who took me under his wing.

“He gave me advice every day, guided me in the details, and helped me improve. I’m truly grateful to him.”
