Yuri Alberto heads into Corinthians’ meeting with Mirassol looking to snap a six-game scoring drought, his second-longest run since mid-2025.

His last goal came in the 2-0 win over Platense of Argentina on 9 April 2026. Since then he has faced Palmeiras, Independiente Santa Fe, Vitória, Barra, Vasco da Gama and Peñarol, creating clear chances and supplying an assist but not scoring, according to Meu Timao.

His longest barren spell for the club was nine matches between May and September last year. That stretch spanned four months because of the first FIFA Club World Cup break and an L1 vertebra fracture that kept him out for more than two months.

Despite the sequence, he has five goals this year and leads Corinthians’ scoring chart. Gustavo Henrique and André Luiz are joint-second on three.

In the 2-0 win over Peñarol last time out, Yuri led the match for key passes and set up Jesse Lingard for the second goal.

Likely to start against Mirassol, he has a chance to end the drought and help Corinthians claim a second straight Brasileirão win. The match is on Sunday at 20:30 at Estádio Campos Maia in the 14th round as they aim to move away from the relegation zone.
