Yuri Alberto's injury could hand Jesse Lingard a fresh run in Corinthians' starting XI.

According to Meu Timao, Lingard is among the leading candidates to cover in attack. Yuri Alberto left Thursday's 0-0 draw with Athletico-PR with a right hamstring problem and is expected to miss upcoming games.

Lingard's first Corinthians goal came in a 1-0 first-leg win over Barra in the third round of the Copa do Brasil.

He added a second in April in a 2-0 victory against Peñarol during the Libertadores group stage.

He has gone 10 matches without scoring and has two goals and one assist in 20 appearances, a direct contribution to three goals.

He is expected to start against Internacional on Sunday at 19:30 at Beira-Rio in Porto Alegre, the first leg of the Copa do Brasil round of 16.
