Corinthians striker Yuri Alberto, the club's top scorer this season with three goals, is undergoing intensive rehabilitation after a grade 2 left biceps femoris injury, aiming to return as soon as possible.
UOL Esporte reports that he is completing three to four daily recovery blocks, with two sessions at CT Dr. Joaquim Grava and complementary work with a private team.
He is overseen by physiologist Gustavo Jorge, who has worked with him for more than 10 years and also assists Gustavo Henrique and Breno Bidon. Jorge served on Corinthians' staff from 2004 to 2007 and coordinates plans with current club personnel.
Despite the workload, he is strictly following medical and physio guidance, and the club run daily assessments. His programme includes conventional physiotherapy and hyperbaric chamber sessions using pure oxygen at high pressure to speed muscle recovery.
Since arriving in 2022, he has often returned ahead of initial estimates, though the club do not set public timetables. Such injuries usually need four to eight weeks, and if that period is completed in full he could be available to Dorival Júnior in mid March.
He has been out since 15 February, when he was injured in the 1-0 win over São Bernardo FC in the final round of the Paulista group stage. Without him, Corinthians face Novorizontino at 20:30 on Saturday at Estádio Doutor Jorge Ismael de Biasi in the Campeonato Paulista semi-final.
