Yuri Alberto joins elite list of decade’s Brasileirão scorers after Corinthians win | OneFootball

Yuri Alberto hit a first-half brace as Corinthians beat Remo 3-0 at Neo Química Arena on Thursday in the 19th round of the Brasileirão, moving into an elite group of scorers this decade.

With those goals in Itaquera, the number nine reached 61 in the league for the 2020s, joining Hulk and Pedro among the leading marksmen. According to R10 Score, Pedro leads on 68 and Hulk has 65 in the period.

Among his Brazilian clubs, Corinthians is where he has scored most in Serie A, posting 44 goals in 124 appearances.

His most prolific league season came in 2024 with 15 in 29 games. He followed with 10 in 26 the next year, after eight in his debut campaign and eight the season after. In 2026 he has three in 15 so far.

Before shining at Parque São Jorge, he scored 17 in 44 for Internacional across 2021, a record that also covers the late 2020 fixtures played early in 2021 due to Covid-19 delays, before moving to Zenit in 2022.

The display also snapped two droughts. He had not scored in the league since 22 March, against Flamengo, and this was his first brace in eight months, last achieved in November in a 3-1 win over São Paulo.

Corinthians visit Bahia on Sunday at 16:00 at Arena Fonte Nova, opening the second half of the Brasileirão.
