Corinthians drew 0-0 at Chapecoense on Thursday at Arena Condá, as Yuri Alberto returned after more than a month out.
The striker had not featured since 15 February, when he left injured during the win over São Bernardo at Estádio Primeiro de Maio. He came on 12 minutes into the second half and was withdrawn at 45, after assisting André for the decisive goal. According to Meu Timao, he had been sidelined with a grade two injury to the left biceps femoris.
In his absence, Corinthians played six matches and struggled, managing only one win against Athletico Paranaense. During that spell they recorded their longest scoreless run of 2026.
On his comeback he stayed on for the full match and, despite repeated requests from coach Dorival Júnior, declined to come off.
Corinthians host Flamengo at 20:30 on Sunday at Neo Química Arena in the eighth round of the Brasileirão, with Yuri Alberto likely to feature. He previously scored against the Rio side on one February, netting the second goal in the victory that clinched the Supercopa Rei, which remains his most recent strike.
