Yuri Berchiche is set to leave Paris Saint-Germain for Athletic Bilbao just a year after joining the French champions.
Despite a solid start to life with Les Parisiens after arriving from Bilbao’s Basque rivals Real Sociedad, the left-back is set for a return to Spain, according to ESPN.
New PSG boss Thomas Tuchel is seemingly prepared to cash in on the 28-year-old who will move to San Mamés in a €20m deal and sign a four-year contract.
It is expected the deal will go through by Saturday, the final day of June – the deadline handed to PSG to fall in line with UEFA’s short-term FFP ruling.
Yuri made a total of 32 appearances for PSG last season after usurping Layvin Kurzawa at left back, scoring twice and providing five assists.
