Zachary Athekame scores in OL’s 3-1 win and recalls similar strikes last season

Zachary Athekame is making a swift impression at Olympique Lyonnais, scoring as they beat Auxerre 3-1 on Friday.

According to L'Équipe, the Swiss full-back is on a season-long loan from AC Milan. He already has one goal and one assist for OL.

Against Auxerre he netted Lyon’s second of the night.

Asked afterwards if he often tries efforts from the edge of the area, he said he had scored two like that last season.

Last October he equalised in added time against Pisa, then did it again in spring at Genoa, that time with his left foot.
