Having been left out of Nigeria’s initial picks in favor of Bruno Onyemaechi in the Super Eagles’ last seven matches, Zaidu now appears set to return to a prominent role in tomorrow’s friendly against Jordan, scheduled for Amman, the Asian country’s capital.

This is an international test of the FC Porto left-back’s good form, as he has recently seen his importance in the team grow after a season in which he was, almost always, a secondary option. As such, this game for Nigeria also comes as a way to gain rhythm for the decisive stage with the Dragons, at a time when he seems to have secured the left side of Francesco Farioli’s defense ahead of Francisco Moura.
