Zakaria Labyad scored in a 1-1 draw at Peñarol on Thursday in the Libertadores group stage. He then came off the bench on Sunday to seal a 1-0 win over Atlético Mineiro at Neo Química Arena in the Campeonato Brasileiro. He is the first Corinthians player to net in back-to-back matches since January.
As reported by Meu Timao.
The previous Corinthians player to score in successive outings was Yuri Alberto. Late in January he struck in a 1-1 draw with Santos, then hit the winner in a 1-0 victory over Velo Clube, both in the Paulistão group stage.
Labyad’s latest goal makes him the club’s fifth-highest scorer in 2026, behind Yuri Alberto on six, Gustavo Henrique on four, and André Luiz and Breno Bidon on three apiece.
He can extend the run on Wednesday, 27, when Corinthians complete their Libertadores group campaign. Already through to the last 16 and assured of top spot, they host Platense at 21:30 in Itaquera.
