History has been made in Monday’s Women’s World Cup clash between Costa Rica and Zambia.
In the ninth edition of the tournament, the 1,000th goal has been scored.
And it’s been netted by Zambia midfielder Barbra Banda.
The 23-year-old’s name will be forever etched in history as her spot kick, Zambia’s second of the game against the Central Americans, means the Women’s World Cup has hit four figures for goals.
