Zé Rafael ‘to train separately’ as Santos exit nears

Zé Rafael has asked to train away from the Santos squad and is close to leaving the club.

De Olho no Peixe reports that he is training separately from the group, a request that was accepted late last week.

He has been omitted from Cuca’s last five matchday squads.

The midfielder is not in the coaching staff’s plans and intends to resolve his future during the World Cup break.

The 32-year-old has played 12 times this season, starting four and coming on eight times, and has scored once.
