RomaPress – Following the arrivals of Nemanja Matić and Mile Svilar, Roma’s third reinforcement of the summer transfer window has arrived.
Turkish international Zeki Çelik touched down in the Italian capital this afternoon at Fiumicino airport to complete his transfer switch from Lille to Roma.
The right back arrived just slightly later than his scheduled 18.45 CET arrival on flight TK1863 from Istanbul—finally able to complete his move to the Giallorossi despite the deal having been agreed nearly two weeks ago.
The defender is now en-route to undergo his medical examinations at Villa Stuart—afterwards he’ll be taken to Trigoria to sign his contract with the club.
Çelik becomes the Giallorossi’s third acquisition of the summer and joins less than two days after the club announced the departure of Alessandro Florenzi to Milan.
He’ll cost Roma a fee of €7 million plus a 15% sell-on clause for his future sale. His agent, Fazil Özdemir, also confirmed some of the contractual details to RomaPress, “He’s signed a four-year contract with the club.”
