Celtic will travel to Munich to face the current Bundesliga league leaders in two days’ time as they look to overturn a 2-1 scoreline from the first leg in Glasgow.
Vincent Kompany’s men secured a solid point on the road over the weekend against the reigning German champions. Leverkusen were the dominant team in the encounter but could not breakthrough an organised and resolute Bayern defence.

Despite notching up zero shots on target, Bayern left Leverkusen with a valuable point and remain eight points clear at the top of the Bundesliga with 12 league games left.
Germany’s top two sides could meet in Europe’s elite club competition next month. The winners of the Bayern and Celtic tie face either Bayer Leverkusen or Atletico Madrid in the last 16 – with the draw for the next round of the competition on Friday.

Meanwhile, Brendan Rodgers’ side eased off Dundee United 3-0 in the Scottish Premiership at Celtic Park yesterday courtesy of fabulous individual strikes via Callum McGregor, Jota and Adam Idah.
Undoubtedly, the Scottish champions will have to pull off one of their greatest ever European performances if they are to beat Bayern at the Allianz Arena on Tuesday night.
