Kevin Zeroli is one of the most highly-rated young players currently on AC Milan’s books, and to help him progress further, the midfielder joined Monza in January.

With Monza in need of a midfielder, after Warren Bondo joined Milan, the two clubs agreed on a deal for Zeroli to join the club on loan to allow him some more minutes in senior football at a level he is better suited to.

This season, we have commonly seen the Primavera stalwarts struggle in Serie C, so Zeroli (and others) have regularly been in the first-team picture, though they have rarely gotten minutes on the pitch.

As a result a loan to Serie A, where he may be better suited, makes sense for all parties, and despite the Biancorossi’s situation, it will still offer him a chance to ply his trade.

Speaking at the Amici dei Bambini tournament, Zeroli opened up a little on his loan move and Milan News have his words.

“Going to Monza was a choice to find space and play in Serie A but AC Milan remains my family. Alessandro Nesta is tough, but he’s a very good coach who knows how to prepare matches well. I always tell young people to learn from the most experienced, to listen to advice as I do.

“I’m getting on well at my new club.”
