Zinédine Zidane attends Spanish Grand Prix in Madrid as Alpine ambassador

France head coach Zinédine Zidane attended the Spanish Grand Prix in Madrid, visiting Alpine’s drivers.

Zidane has been an Alpine ambassador since February 2023 and is a regular in the Formula 1 paddock. Speaking to Canal+, he said he was pleased to see a race in the Spanish capital and praised the new circuit’s technical challenge.

He said the layout is ideal for Formula 1 fans and that it was great to be in Madrid.

He also reflected on Pierre Gasly’s surprise pole position at Monza last weekend, saying he sent the Alpine driver a message afterwards and was delighted for him.

Zidane added that Gasly must have been proud of what he achieved.
