Zinédine Zidane’s Adidas ties questioned as he takes charge of Nike-kitted France

Zinédine Zidane’s appointment as France head coach comes with an awkward twist, the team wear Nike while he is synonymous with Adidas. The arrangement has prompted questions over his personal contract.

According to L'Équipe, like the players he will have some latitude on personal items, notably his boots.

Zidane has been tied to Adidas since 1996 and remains one of the brand’s leading ambassadors, even after ending his playing career in 2006.
