Zlatko Junuzovic joins coaching staff

Assistant coach Jens Wissing leaves the Red Bulls

FC Red Bull Salzburg have announced two changes to their coaching staff. The contract with assistant coach Jens Wissing has been terminated by mutual consent. The 37-year-old German is leaving the club of his own accord.

In return, club legend Zlatko Junuzovic is joining Thomas Letsch's coaching staff. The 38-year-old Austrian, who made 123 appearances for the Red Bulls, winning four league titles and four cups, ended his professional career in Salzburg in the summer of 2022.

The 55-time Austrian international has since taken roles as U15 assistant coach and at FC Liefering, as well as most recently in the scouting department of FC Red Bull Salzburg. Junuzovic will immediately join Thomas Letsch's coaching staff – initially until a new sporting director is appointed – and will also be responsible for close coordination with the Red Bull Football Academy.

Zlatko Junuzovic has already gained several years of experience in various positions at our club. We believe that now is a very good time to bring him into our first team's coaching staff, where he can contribute with his many years of comprehensive expertise.
