Zugasti agrees one-year Athletic extension to 2027 | OneFootball

Patricia Zugasti, 25, has extended her Athletic contract to 30 June 2027, according to El Correo. The Navarrese forward has made 48 senior appearances, scoring seven goals.

From Riezu, she developed at San Juan, Ardoi, Lagunak and Mulier, a partner club of Athletic, before arriving from Osasuna in summer 2023. Her top-flight debut for Athletic came away to Villarreal.

In December she stepped away from action until April to address a patellar chondropathy in her left knee. She returned for the run-in of Liga F, playing four matches.

She signed the new deal alongside president Jon Uriarte and women’s football director Xabi Arrieta. Zugasti said she is excited to continue and to offer her best next season.

She expressed pride at staying, thanked the club for its faith and aims to repay it on the pitch. She added that she has learned a lot at Athletic, hopes for greater continuity, and feels the team can fight for the top places because they are ambitious.
