What is the count so far when it comes to Newcastle United TV matches?
That is, live United games that can be viewed (legally…) by those in the UK.
Ten games gone so far in all competitions and nine of the ten have been Newcastle United TV matches shown live on various channels (Sky, TNT…).
The only exception was Wolves at home, the only NUFC match so far remaining at 3pm on a Saturday.
With the much expanded Sky Sports deal regarding showing Premier League matches live, it means only those few that remain as 3pm Saturday ones, won’t be able to be watched by UK viewers.
We currently know the details of all of the next ten Newcastle United matches up to the end of November 2025.
By the time we get to the end of next month, 17 of the 20 NUFC games will have been shown live to a UK TV audience. All Carabao Cup matches are shown on Sky Sports and all Champions League matches are all televised.
So as well as the Wolves match at SJP in September, the next two Premier League games won’t be on a channel legally available to UK viewers, as away at Brighton and home to Fulham have stayed as 3pm Saturday matches.
The three Champions League games in December 2025 and January 2026 will of course also be shown live as would any further Carabao Cup games if United get past Spurs in two weeks time.
Today (Wednesday 15 October 2025) is supposed to be the deadline whereby Premier League match moves (mostly due to broadcasters selecting them) in December 2025 and January 2026 should be communicated. That could potentially be up to another 11 Newcastle United TV matches, one of the eleven is already guaranteed to be when Villa visit SJP in January, as they have a Europa League game on the Thursday before.
