The highly-rated attacking midfielder can operate in the wide areas as well as centrally. He has the attributes to develop into a top-class playmaker in the near future.

Liverpool and Chelsea have shown a willingness to invest in talented young players in recent years and it is no surprise that they are keen on signing the Serbian. Maksimovic is already an important first-team player for Red Star Belgrade with 12 goal contributions in 16 matches across all competitions.

With the right guidance, he could develop into a key player for clubs like Liverpool and Chelsea as well. He might need some time to adapt to English football, but he has the quality to handle the step up.

Clubs across Europe are keeping tabs on his situation as well, and it will be interesting to see if they decide to submit an offer to sign the player. He has a contract with Red Star Belgrade until June 2027, and he is unlikely to be a cheap acquisition.
